It’s Never Too Late

FlowChartSuccessintheMusicIndustry

Eric Beall’s To Do List 2012 is a wonderful crystal ball view on what you need to focus on as an indie artist/songwriter in today’s music biz.

And it’s every bit as useful as an end of the year review checklist as it was to kick off the new year. Let me know if you’re on it!

  1. Kat, Thanks for taking time to read & comment. I agree that the single thing is eye-opening! Maybe a survey of those who come out to your shows to see which song they’d most want to have in their playlist…I think live shows are so influential that way.

  2. Great action list! Thanks for posting!
The “live the single life” is an eye-opening point. It’s true that more and more the attention span of listeners and human beings in general is waning. What a refreshing thought to think we can concentrate on that one sound bite, that one creative nugget, and really concentrate on its value as a treasure! I also love the idea of music makers becoming more subtle and daring at the same time. What a powerful complementary mix! 🙂
